Summer time & Parliament Hill
I had a couple meetings in Ottawa on Tuesday with a company I have been consulting with, Digital Inquiry (digitalinquiry.ca) This was a great trip, first we met with the Liberal Party of Canada president and following that the Canadian Ethnocultural Commission. I can’t discuss the projects but the latter is potentially very exciting and cool. So, we finish the meetings in the late afternoon, went for a beer, and after were invited to a reception on Parliament Hill. The rest is just silly and you can view the pics on my flickr and figure the rest out yourself!

This is cool. Summer plans are coming together nicely! July in BC, one of the highlights being Kali and I are playing a live set at Soundwave. Should be fun there are shitload of wicked artists there this year! Then August in Yerp... a week in Zurich and a week in Berlin where I will be hooking up with Native Instruments, hopefully to plan some cool projects. Gotta go! - snx

Sprechensproklacenstein!
Modeselektor was in town for the Mutek festival! Well, the festival did not go as well as hoped, lots of rain, (and drugs and booze) and the headlining act Radioslave left his records on the plane! So, we (me and Kali) met up with Modeselektor, super smart Berliners, asked a few questions, and showed them the drink my buddy Switzerland came up with (Vodka + Orangina = Vagina). They loved it. So, we drank some of these, took some pics.. talked music and records all those good things... I will post the interview video when it is edited! Until then, heres a pic of Kali, Modeselektor and yours truly!

Work it!
Here is a great post on Mitch Joel's blog (six pixels of separation). His blog and insight has always been a great source of inspiration to me. So here's a plug to his 'working hard' post:

I am meeting up with Ben today to brainstorm the storyboard for his new website. He's kind of an artsy urban style photographer, who's portfolio includes a diverse array of narrative based work which ranges from personal stories to the life, or after life of the party. It's going to be a cool project because we're going to try to break away from the typical box like user interface and try to really capture the essence of what he does, capturing moments in time and space.

Thats it folks
My one year contract at Twist Image is up and so I am freelancing again. The year working at Twist Image really provided me with a solid foundation for email marketing integration. For those of you who don't know how difficult it can be to try to make graphical html based email succcessfully display in all the email clients out there, then you should just head on over to http://www.email-standards.org. This is a recent social project started up by a couple of designers and coders with the goal to organize and create standards in html email. This isn't an easy mission if you stop to consider that the two biggest failures in this department are also the two biggest software corporations, Microsoft and Google. Good job, great project.... x)

Over the next couple weeks I am working on a print and digital version manual of a new hardware unit that has been developed by Native Instruments. I can't really say too much at the moment as the unit is not public but I will post links and info upon it's released. The coolest thing about working with NI, they are based in Berlin, its definitely a good connection which will hopefully turn into more and more work in the future.

Uh, happy new years!
2008 is here, which kind of marks about a year since sneakyboy.com v2.0 has been up. You could say a lot has happened, first of all I haven't been able to foster any dogs as I decided to keep Nika. So, I won't be updating that part of my site. I bought a Nikon D-40x digital SLR camera. I have been using it to take a lot of pics, especially at events, but I will also be using it for some stop motion concepts which are burning a hole in my brain. So, look for a 'photos' button sometime soon. As far as new year's resolutions go, I should spend more time making music and obligate more time for the family (and less on the computer?!)
